How many dogs can you walk at once?
We believe dogs have more fun if they can play and interact with other dogs. Our groups are kept small with a maximum 4 dogs walked at a time. Groups are carefully selected with breed, age, sex and personality in mind and can be discussed with the owner beforehand.
Where will you walk my dog?
Dependant on your dogs needs, weather conditions and time of year we will walk them around local fields/parks/nature trails/beach or a simple street walk.
Do you arrange picking up and dropping off of the dog?
We collect your dog from your home at an agreed time and then return them after their walk.
Do I need to bring my own collar/lead?
Yes, for continuity purposes we prefer the dog to continue using their own collar/lead however we do carry spare leads.
My pet requires medication are you able to provide them with this?
Yes of course, if you give us the instructions we will be able to administer this.
How will you gain access to my home?
We will require a spare key to gain access to your home along with any alarm codes. You can be rest assured that any keys that are in our possession will be kept in a secure location and will not be labelled with your address details attached.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept either cash or bank transfer.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes.
Dog walking & Home visits - a minimum of 24-hours notice, no charges will apply. However, if cancellation is made within 24-hours of the walk/visit commencing, the full rate will be charged.
Dog boarding - We require a minimum of four-days notice to cancel. Failure to do so will result in 25% of the stay payable and your deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice then full rate will be charged
Are you insured?
Yes, Playful Paws Petcare are fully insured, this includes key cover. Feel free to ask to see a copy of our insurance certificate.
Do your services cater for all dog breeds?
We take each dog on it's own merit and not on reputation of particular breeds. We meet all dogs before we walk/board them and each new dog is subject to a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse any dog.
